Kill Switch: The last line of defense for Maverick VPN disconnection protection

The moment the VPN disconnects, your real IP will be briefly exposed. If you're downloading sensitive content or accessing a restricted website, these few seconds are enough. The Kill Switch function of AoxVPN is designed to solve this problem.

What is Kill Switch

Kill Switch (disconnect switch) is the security mechanism of VPN. When the VPN connection is interrupted unexpectedly, Kill Switch will immediately cut off all network connections to prevent your real IP from being exposed. After the VPN is reconnected, the network will automatically recover.

Kill Switch of Aox VPN

  • It is enabled by default and does not require manual settings
  • Supports full application-level protection (all applications are disconnected from the Internet)
  • The reconnection speed is extremely fast, usually 3-5 seconds to restore

Real scene

Last week I was using Aox accelerator to handle work in a coffee shop, and the VPN suddenly disconnected. Because the Kill Switch is on, the network is immediately cut off and the real IP is not exposed. Aox VPN automatically reconnects after 3 seconds and everything returns to normal. Without the Kill Switch, my real IP and the websites I visited would have been exposed in those few seconds.

How to confirm that Kill Switch takes effect

You can see the status of Kill Switch in the settings of AoxVPN APP. It is recommended to keep it turned on at all times.

Kill Switch is an important part of Maverick VPN’s security system. Go to the official website to learn more.
